If you haven’t seen the movie Once, you deserve to be slapped in the face. Seriously, get off the couch, go to Redbox, get back on the couch, and indulge in the beauty that is Glen Hansard and Markéta Irglová, also known as The Swell Season. This post is going to focus on only half of The Swell Season, because Glen Hansard has a new solo album coming out on June 19th. Glen Hansard is probably my favorite male vocalist of all time. I think I may or may not have wept when I saw him live two years ago. His show is still at the top of my list for all-time favorites; but I digress. Hansard’s new album titled Rhythm and Repose is absolutely fantastic. All 11 songs are worth listening to multiple times, and “Love Don’t Leave Me Waiting” may be my favorite track of 2012.
